Man on the Moon tour 2024
As a dreamer, I always lived amongst the stars, using my neurodivergence to escape the world we live in. As an artist, I harness that power to translate the beauty of my daydreams and my nightmares through the portal of my pen onto canvas for the world to experience. My collection “Man on the Moon” is a gallery of digital art printed on canvas that takes humanity on a space odyssey, reimagining black experiences through the kaleidoscope of afrofuturism.
Man on the Moon captures both personal lived and learned experiences of wonder, adventure, pain, loss, bliss and ecstasy. I hope this collection ushers in an appreciation for digital art as fine art that not only has value but inspires transformation, healing, and the desire to be kind to ourselves and each other.
This four city tour touched four places unique to my life and experience from birth to where I am today, and it was a pleasure to share my art in all the places that shaped who I am.
In the words of Ceasar Cruz, my art was conceived to comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.

It all began in Atlanta, Georgia. After moving to Atlanta on a whim and a dream in January 2023, it only took a little over a year for me to take a leap of faith and host my own gallery show titled: Man on the Moon. This collection spanned digital pieces I created and curated since 2020 as I endured a journey of self discovery, healing and love. This collection was seen by over 90 of my closest friends and family and inspired me to not only keep going, but to tour this collection so it could be brought to people who never saw themselves in a gallery.

Join DorianTroy Studios on the 2nd stop of the 2024 Man on the Moon Tour in Brooklyn, NYC where he shared over 13 unique pieces from my afrofuturist collection with the community. New York is not just a special place where art expression is not only encouraged but appreciated—it also is the birth place of my parents and where I picked up my first digital drawing pad to create the artistic empire I have built today. Summers in NYC are my favorite, so I thought it was only right to bring my show here in July.

I ended the first leg of the Man on the Moon Tour near my hometown in Durham, NC where I was joined by family and friends to share my art collection and speak about the importance of healing and expression through afrofuturism.
